Create three type—based posters to promote a horror film festival in your nearest city.
Response
I wanted to stay away from the generic and cliches of the horror genre and since the mandatory requirements said the posters had to be based predominantly on typography I adopted a Swiss style. The crop at the top and bottom refer to title credits ‘rolling’ over the screen at the end of a film. I used em—dashes and ellipses to create simple and sinister quotations. The posters were screen–printed and I used glow-in-the-dark ink to print the various masks.
